Pay no attention to the unfolding narrative behind the house with empty walls Forgotten memories inside You made it out safely this time but still you can't ignore the cry over your shoulder in the night A distant fire without a light No start. No end. No start. No... No sign of life out there at all No sign of death appeared too small Scanned by imaginary eyes while the illusions multiply Carried by some familiar taste away from ill impending fate Grim voices from another life dance on your palate like a knife Don't go, come in. Don't go, come in. Now through a dusty window pane you see a host without a name Sink when you realize his gaze is your reflection in the haze

I put a hex on your soul I put my tongue on your mouth I placed your coin in the palm of my hand Lifted your dirt-black bones out On the sacred Hallow’s Eve When the blackbirds caw Near marshes where dead men swim slow Your grave turned out In the sweet surrender Sweet serenity of death In black rest’s deceptive lullaby I pulled your bones out For now, your coin is mine I put a curse on your expired bones Your silver coin I found In the crick bed black-oak-hollow I fished it out Your mine now spook or swallow My sickly sweet ghoul Now you’ll sing me a blackbird lullaby Your banshee shout

i ain't afraid of monsters i ain't afraid of ghosts cuz i am a future skeleton i am up to my ears in bones (and bones and bones and bones...) wave your skeleton hand to that skeleton man i only joke around to see your skeleton laugh when you turn the music up, i watch your skeleton dance so let's free our bones and head on home to the skeleton land i just might be a monster cuz i only have one goal: to free everybody's skeletons and live in a world of bones (and bones and bones and bones...) forgive me but i didn't hear a word you said i was staring at those bones popping outta your head rows of teeth cutting right on through the skin trying to emancipate that skeleton within and i'd be more that glad to shed your sheath oh what was that, you said you wanted me to leave? such a shame, i'd be game if you should ever change your mind i can tell we'd look swell with our bones all intertwined wave your skeleton hand to that skeleton man i only joke around to see your skeleton laugh when you turn the music up, i watch your skeleton dance so let's free our bones and head on home to the skeleton land we are made of scary stuff so let's see those bones, i've had enough

Those thoughts may stay awhile, but they’re not home no they’re not home and you may feel so alone, but you’re not alone no you’re not alone. And we will stay in packs till they’re scared of us, they should be scared of us, and us not scared of them. It’ll be okay, it’s not the end of days for you. There’s so much left to do and I will help you through it cuz you are whole and you are good, and it wasn’t your fault at all. No, it wasn’t your fault at all. They should be scared of us, and us not scared of them.

Altar of cold black stones ’Twas a-half past 10 Air was cleansed with sage White quartz and candle sticks Blood-red finger nails Coarse hair and fiery cracks Black cat calls on floors Bleeding with candle wax Marled books in stacks Codes of the wise and dead Bringing’ a demon life Ain’t the least of them Scrawlin’ on mirrors black Swirling smoke in wafts Bringing the devil’s notes For the demon host I will summon thee I will call thy name For to find my dear And then to rule the grave Yea, I’m gonna find you I will break death’s tie Knife to cut my hand To give this demon blood I sat for 13 hours Inside a bath of chud Arrange a burial shroud 6 Tablets scribed in sin Fistfuls of human hair From 13 heads of kin Buckets of graveyard dust Bones and dried bat wings Cups of old urine And rags to soak them in A dirty nail or two Embellished baby corpse A sink of rotten meat All for the demon host I will summon thee I will call thy name For to find my dear And then to rule the grave Yea, I’m gonna find you I will break death’s tie I hear the witching hour I hear the clock strike 12 I grab the dusty book The Key of Solomon Under the blackest moon And with the darkest sin I cut the paley flesh I squeeze the blood for him Drip on the pentagram Right on the foot of him Right on that demon host The seal of Solomon I’ve found a demon olde For now to get my wife To break the tie with death And learn the spell of life

another trip around the block we race against the midnight clock you take my mask, i don your cape this ploy requires unfamiliar shapes returning to the same front doors we'd trick-or-treated hours before and one by one the neighbors pour the candied sweets and chocolate treats galore but as i marveled at our feat we must've wandered off the street for now the only house i see is draped in night and tucked amongst the trees i hesitate and then i hear a thrash of leaves - you've disappeared but i've no time to call your name something's come out from that house, and it's heading my way i'm paralyzed with shock and fear with patient strides, it's drawing near my pillowcase of treats in hand the last defense against this demon-man i break the trance and back away said "i'm sorry to be out so late" and when he laughed i saw his face and felt such fright that i took flight while the monster made chase he had a pumpkin head with hollow eyes of flame he smelled of rot and death i felt his breath when he screamed my name the moon was full and red i thought i had escaped but when i turned to look, his fingers tore my cape i made it out somehow and met my friend in town we never found that house just candy wrappers on the ground devil's got a sweet tooth and my pillowcase, too so next year when i trick-or-treat i'll settle for one round of sweets just stick to the familiar streets and stay away from pumpkin-headed creeps

From the grave they came with uneasy silence. A killer's ambition rambling through empty streets. These tip-toed shadows scatter in screams, infesting sweet dreams. What lies beneath sleeps the seed, believed to be the reason monsters breathe. Crooked hands reach from behind glowing eyes. A hunger unleashed through the echo of chattering teeth. Inaudible whispers trickle up the spine, mocking what innocence made. In the malicious haze of the night, they make their way toward the unforgiving hold of the gates.
